Wireless control panels

@RyanB

Spyder sent me the latest software.

Firefly had me mail the mira module back to them to be refreshed to oem settings and they will test it and let me know if it works. After the software update to my spyder system it wouldn’t connect again.

The technician believes the module had been reprogrammed to work with more options on my buddies coach. We will see. I’ll follow up with more details when I get it back. I sent it out in the mail yesterday.

Thanks for the update Shawn. Hopefully they are able to reset it and get it working for you. Let us know how it works out.

Hey Ryan,

I have the G6A panel that has the Net Port. However I think my existing non-smart control panel is Spyder. Would I be correct in thinking this would not work since I don’t have Firefly onboard?

I think I typed my longest reply yet on your other post so I will answer here briefly but refer you to other post in case somebody else stumbles on this thread, The G6 with the port on the front is possible but will take some research and work. Here is the other thread:

@RyanB Update: I sent the module to Firefly. They flashed it back to oem specs then tested and it passed. They returned it to me quickly. Less than a week turn around. I plugged it in and it works perfectly.

Tiffin must have done some reprogramming on it since it came from a Tiffin bus with a lot of touch screens and way more options.

Im very happy it works. Firefly charged a total of $89.06 with ups delivery and it cost me $10 to ship it to them. I traded some night vision binoculars that were gifted to me for the module. I have about $100 a $850 part.

Has anyone successfully installed the Firefly VegaTouch “Eclipse” module on a 2022 Beacon 41FLB? I just purchased this model and spoke today with Furefly and they said the Eclipse module had never been offered for the 41FLB floorplan, only the “Mira”. Seems odd to me that the 41FLB would not be supported.

That is for sure odd. I know there has been 2022 owners that had the Eclipse but I cant say for sure what models. I dont see outside of the WIFI ability how the devices would be that different.

I believe the 2023 units came with the G12 and the Mira Bluetooth was standard equipment.

For the 2022 with the G6 it was an add on option for MIRA or Eclipse- but not standard option.

Both the Bluetooth Mira and WIFI Eclipse modules should be plug n play on the G6 from my conversations with Firefly. It wasn’t a standard installed option though. You may need to upgrade your software versions. I had to take photos of my touch screen displays and email them to firefly tech support. They noticed that my GUI version and RSI-9 versions needed updated, From Tech Support email: “Mira is not compatible with the software revisions you have on your screen or RSI-9. The minimum requirement would be GUI 1.11 and RSI-9 config 1.6”. They sent me the updates via email. I had to put them on a thumb drive and plug into the back of the touch screen to upload. After doing that and installing the mira module it worked. I had gotten a used mira module from my coworker that has a tiffin bus. It wouldn’t work properly. I sent it to Firefly and they flashed it back to OEM for 89.06 with return shipping. With software update and fresh flash it connected and worked perfectly afterward.

Below is a photo of how the modules install on the G6

On the back of the touchscreen you will see a usb port. This is where you insert the thumbdrive to update the software.

The diagnostics screen will show software versions.
