Swintek office slide issues

Hi all I’ve been trying to reattach the x2 brackets on either side of the slide from the inside, my attempts have been using a larger self tamper and some glue and this has failed and the brackets are loose again.

My next 2 suggestions are 1. Put wooden Batton to support behind the bracket 2. Find some anchors for metal similar as wall plugs but for metal walls.

Any suggestions appreciated

Looks like those lag screws have been stripped out based on the photos. Assuming these brackets attached to the side of the slide box itself. Have you considered using slightly larger diameter lag screws as they might give more bite into the wall material given the originals are now stripped. As long as the new thicker/wider screws are the same length you shouldn’t run into any issues.

I did something similar with our awning bracket that was pulled away from the outside wall by a strong wind. It’s been a few years and its still holding up well.

Thanks Stuart, I tried the larger lag screws and they pulled out after one use

Im thinking to wood batten the side of the bracket to give extra support when extending the slide picture 1 and the replace the screws with something similar
