Our Insignia oven does not ignite in our 2022 320GK. Propane tanks are full. Valve is open . All four burners on the cooktop work fine. When I attempt to ignite the oven the piezoelectric igniter sounds as though it is sparking I can smell low traces of gas but there is no ignition. Any suggestions.
An easy test to determine where the problem lays, would be to use a regular campfire type lighter and see if the burners lit using that. Sometimes they can be stubborn lighting and you may need to hold down the knob for a few seconds after they have lit.
Mine typically takes a few minutes, I bend over and look in the back of the oven and look for the sparking by the pilot. I keep it on ignite mode until the pilot stays on and I see burner ignition.
Thanks for the tip! I thought about using a lighter but I don’t recall seeing a hole in the bottom plate to put the flame in. I check again.
Wow! Thanks for the insight on Insignia. A few minutes seems like a long time. I was concerned about gas building up to wait that long. I can see and hear the sparking but I only held the knob for about 30 seconds thinking that was plenty of time to get ignition, especially since I could smell the gas. I will try to be more patient and see if that works.
I never smell gas though, do you see the pilot catching @ all? Mine seems to catch then die a few times before thermocouple gets hot enough.
