Hi all Im playing with the idea to upgrade the pin box or the f350 suspension to add rear air suspension. Any suggestions thanks
Tourusa, I changed my pinbox out for a Curt Flexair, I am happy with how it works and the ride it provides. I also have air bags on the truck as well. The flexair pinbox is large and heavy, it also is lower then the factory pinbox. I had to mount it on the top row of bolts on the trailer bracket. I also dropped my hitch in the truck down a row to get my trailer to pull level. The air bags on the truck I have not done much with besides keeping them at 10 lbs. My last trip I started playing around with the air pressure in the air bags. I found with my setup if I went to 30 lbs of air on the truck air bags it lifted me up off of the two large overload leafs and the truck with trailer had a much softer ride.

I have air bags on my truck. I have a 1 ton chevy srw. I run around 20-30 psi and it makes huge difference. I have the factory pin box and a B&W gooseneck hitch with the B&W companion drop in 5th wheel hitch. It pulls very nice.
Thanks all for your input I have a 2020 f350 Drw, with the B&W mount in the bed, any suggestions on who would install the air suspension
I installed mine myself. I did a basic package, no air pump just two air bags and air lines that come out by my license plate. If your looking to have them installed, I would just google who sells them near your location and see what they offer. If you start adding on board air pumps and gages inside the cab the price goes up pretty fast. The air bags I installed were made by Pacbrake.

I just switched to a Curt Helux. Was looking for a little bit of suspension in the front end. haven’t towed it yet.

We have a diesel 3500 SRW Ram with rear air suspension from the factory, keeps the truck level regarless of load.
I’ve run several diferent Pin boxes (On our fourth fifthe hweel trailer) and I’ve settled on the Reese Goose Box. It has air bag built into the box and shocks to curb the bounce, huge improvement. It is heavy used my golf cart to swap out pin the box. Hydraulic leveling jacks on our rig made it easy. Very with the road performance of the Goose Box, even bridges are much softer now.
