The outside leveling mini touchpad on my 2020 Vilano has stopped working, it will not turn on.
We usually just touch the up and down arrows together to get it powered up but no go. Can anyone advise me where I can find the model number for the touchpad. It’s labeled Lippert Leveling System but going to Lippert they only show a model 421484 as a replace for many of their touchpads, (so says Lippert). We can control all leveling at the main station in the basement but that’s almost a backbreaker to get to.
Hey Subsonar - This topic might have some useful info, if it’s just a blown fuse for the front panel. See Ryan’s post as he describes the fuse and location.
Thanks to Stuart and Ryan, I did find a blown 20 amp fuse but the touchpad still will not power up. I am going to order a new one on amazon and change it out. Again thanks,
Had the same issue spent 8 hours over two days with Lippert customer service and they couldnt figure out the probvlem they sent the whole sysem in parts. Anyway it ended up justy being the external touch pad needed to be replaced. Which once all the parts showed up I put the new pad in and it was good to go. Been working fine for two years ever since and I have lots of spare partts I hope I never need.
Thanks for the info. Went out yesterday and replaced the touch pad with a new one and WAALAA. Working fine and it actually comes on.
Now does anyone have any suggestions as how to stop my batteries from draining so fast in storage. I may just need to disconnect them but they seem to drain really fast. I turn off the battery switch in the basement and ensure all lights are off inside the Vilano. I had to jump from my truck yesterday to test the new touch pad.

Not sure what type of batteries you have (Flooded Lead Acid, AGM or Lithium), but the battery disconnect switch doesn’t disconnect everything. I’d suggest disconnecting the batteries at the terminal and getting a battery monitor (I use a Victron BMV-712). That will track the batteries and give you more complete info on their state.
Jim, I had the same problem, I suspect most of the draw is the leveling system. What I ended up doing was to install a Perko battery switch. The switch can handle any amperage draw your trailer demands. It has 4 positions, off, batt1, batt2 and all. I moved the two hot leads from the batteries to the output lug on the switch, then I installed two more from the batteries to batt1 and batt2 on the switch. It’s not a great solution but it does allow you to disconnect both batteries. You can also run on batt1, batt2 or both. I have two AGM batteries. My batteries never drained when turned off.
When you disconnect power to the leveling system, it forgets where level is so you need to reset “level” before auto level will work properly.
I have since moved into a place with covered storage and power so I just leave the trailer plugged in now.
