Hey folks, I have a ceiling light that has started flashing off and back on the switch in on position. I thought it would be a press and turn counter clockwise to remove but it’s not giving at all. The entire assembly can be pulled out but only maybe 1/4-1/2” the wires are too short for more than that.
I thought I would ask you folks for suggestions

Thanks very much

Hey Ralph - Are they the standard “puck” style lights? On our 2020, the plastic diffuser just has to be turned about 180* and they come off. Ours are branded Facon and the bases are screwed in.
Maybe the 2022 model switched to a different model. I’ve seen some of these lights have a spring loaded mechanism that secures the light.
Would you be able to post a pic of the light? Might help in determining how to remove it.
Stuart
Hey Stuart, yeah that’s what I thought but it’s more modern now!! I took the cover off of the fan it was only a few inches away so I discovered 2 spring loaded devices on either side that if pressed in far enough it would release and it would have plenty of slack to drop down and replace the entire unit. It is on order from Amazon. The cover is not easily removed and not worth the effort until I get it replaced with a new unit. Thanks Stuart I appreciate your help!
Thanks Ralph
Watch those springs! They are like a mouse trap for your fingers.
