Issue with accent lighting

These are the wires going into the relay for the accent lighting. Notice the top wire. It gets so hot that it melted the plastic. Using my voltmeter, I surmised that it’s the power wire.

Does anyone know the specific location of each of the wires plugged into the relay? In other words, which wire goes to which tang on the back of the relay?

Also, where might I find the driver for the LEDs?

I measured the temp of the wires on the back of the relay - the power wire read 160+ deg, while the other three were reading 60 to 80 deg.

This is causing a loss of control at the panel where user input gets no reaction at all. The fix is to turn the battery off and let it cool down for about 15 mins then turn it back on at which point everything works again.

You will need to determine why so much current is being pulled, causing heat buildup. Resolve that or it will show itself in the form of a fire.

Get a new relay as it sounds like yours is latching itself when heated up.

There is not likely to be a separate driver for these LED’s. More than likely built into the string.

Typical relay:
Pin 87 = Accent Lights
Pin 30 = Power (DC)
Pin 86 = Ground
Pin 85 = Trigger (DC from Switch)
