Does anybody know how these fittings are installed into the holding tanks? It looks like a flanged fitting glued / spin welded to the tank with the short stub that’s sticking out just sealed in with maybe RTV or silicone from the greyish dirty-white color. I was told in Red Bay that they’re slip fittings of some sort. They can be rotated, pulled out & re-sealed, etc, but trying to verify.
Those are the stubs that the 3” ABS get glued to. I’m trying to figure out if I can rotate and/or replace one easily. Anybody had hands-one or seen them working with one of these?
