I tried to find this problem in search but no joy. During our last trip the oven door on our Furrion oven exploded putting glass all over the floor. No it was not in use but we found it after setting up for the day. We cannot figure why it blew out nothing was near it during the trip.
My question is does anyone know how to remove the old door so I can replace it.
I have a different oven so I cant be a help with removing the door however the Furrion oven exploding glass is very common. I see most folks use pool noodles or pillows between their island and oven door during travel.
Etrailer.com sells replacement doors for the Furrion oven and they may be able to tell you how to perform the removal and install. If not them, ask whoever you are getting the replacement from for installation help/instructions.
The owners manual doesn’t provide enough detail to determine who the door is attached to the unit.
I have the replacement door but the Vilano is in the shop to repair the rear end buckling problem. I just need to know how to remove the oven door and replace it. There are two extra springs on the furrion oven door, probably removing them then figuring out how to get the door off the hinge arms and new door back on. Thanks for the response.
Got the oven door replaced after several attempts at getting the broken one out. Replaced the door with a new and and again trial and error until I finally figured out to release the hold down after getting the levers in place.
we are still mystified as to why the front glass shattered in the first place.
We read about this problem in the Vanleigh Facebook group, we place 2 pillows between the island and oven hasn’t been a problem. Apparently it was for the previous owners, after a tow day little pieces glass appear around the kitchen slide. I also found pieces around the fireplace and it wasn’t fully set in place I’m guessing they lost the fireplace glass as well.
