Dryer vent location on 2023 Beacon 42RKB

So I am getting ready to install our Splendide washer dryer set soon. I was scoping out where the Dryer vent goes on our 2023 Beacon 42RKB and noticed the location marked inside has the dryer vent going through the front cap!!!

I would have thought that it would go through the side as that is a flat surface. I have concerns that the vent will not lay flat if I use the indicated location by the sticker. Does anyone else have the dryer vent going out the front cap?

With all the curves, angles and slopes I am surprised that the location is marked on the front end.

I just looked and I do not have a sticker for where that vent goes inside the closet. There is significant distance between the closet wall and the front of the endcap. I would cut the place where you have the sticker and then do a 90 degree turn to the right and put the vent on the flat section of the exterior wall. When I have questions like these I call Tiffin and have them send me a diagram or explain where it goes. Also, you can ask the local tiffin dealing where that should go. Good luck and post what you find out.

We have a 2020 39FBB that has the front bathroom with the W/D installed. The dryer vent is on the side. The front cap would be a bad location IMO for the reason you mentioned.

I’d investigate going through the sidewall instead as it’d be much easier to get through that 2" or so of wall compared to the empty space behind the front cap.

Here’s the location on our floorplan.

I put an arrow where I’d put the dryer on that model. Similar to what @Bmwbiologist mentioned.

Your closet and prep area are set up similar to what mine is (in a much smaller unit) and I had the sticker showing venting in the direction of the cap (not to go out the cap but the cap space). Mine was installed at the factory but goes out that small space and then curves over to exit in the cap area but curb side. The space provided for the unit backs up against the wall so my vent of the dryer is actually popped through that hole cut in.

This picture is from the factory right after they installed my vent.

Confirmed.
Tiffin sent me this photo today of the side panel installation of the vent. So all threads are consistent. Those photos of the cut away are awesome bytheway!!!
Here is a picture of the outside when installed on the side panel…

I am new to the site, and this is my first post, so hope I am doing it right. The suggestion was that I find an existing topic and add to it. So here goes. I have a 2022 Vilano 320GK and wish to add a stackable washer/dryer in the prepped bedroom closet. What I don’t find is a mark that would indicate where a dryer vent could go. Is it possible to put a vent in or is this only designed for a ventless dryer? I know I have seen other Vilanos with stackables but have not see an outside vent.2024-11-20T05:00:00Z

Hi Billou and welcome!

The 320GK is the same layout as Ryan has pictured above. That should give you an idea of the vent placement.

Hey Billou - Welcome to the group!

As Stuart stated our units are the same and the pictures above show how they routed it from the closet and the 90 degree to the curb side. This pictures shows the completed dryer vent next to the water access door.

If I can provide any additional pictures from my install that may help you let me know. I heavily document anything I have done on my unit.

Your pictures sure help to show what is between the interior back wall and the outside shell. Unfortunately, it does not appear the dryer vent was prepped the in the Vilano. There is no marking or removable panel on the back wall of the closet for a vent and on the outside wall there is only access for the water. I did speak with the folks in Tishomingo and they said they can put a vent in after the fact. I guess with a hole cut in the back wall where the vent comes out of the dryer and a hole cut in the side next to the water access they could fish flexable duct in. Thanks for the feedback. The pictures really do help.

Those guys at Tish are good at what they do. Wether or not you decide to do the install build up the platform a bit to have easier access to front cleanout of the washer. Danny stated he charges around $800 to do this for current installs due to having to remove it all but much easier and cheaper during the process. Placing the washer on the standard platform makes it difficult to access the cleanout on the bottom of the washer due to the door framing. We had what seemed to be a pump issue at one point but was a dog poo bag that went through the wash and made it down in that clean out.

You are right in the fact that they do not prep the dryer vent or often even place the “drill here” sticker for guides. During the factory install they put the backing up after the dryer is installed and I watched him “eye” where the hole should be and got it off the first time and had to drill another (pic for entertainment purpose). That back wall is only around a 1/4 backing so easy to drill through and easy to remove to get that duct work installed after drilling the exterior hole.

Good luck and let us know how it worked out.

Pic also of the clean out / drain on the front bottom of washer.
