Coleman Mach Everest VS18

Has anyone installed one of the Coleman Mach Everest VS18 units?

From what I have read the mach 18 can’t be installed in place of the mach 8 as a fully ducted unit. I would verify this with Mach. I read the ceiling assy is required for install. I do get mixed information on this. Coleman may be able to assist better than anyone.

The height is 12-13" which is several inches taller than the low profile mach 8. You will also likely need to watch for the return air ducts wanting to collapse due to the higher air velocity…this is a common problem VL units with 3 ac. Easily rectified -other members have inserted pex line or pvc line into the return air ducts etc.

Another issue would be the thermostat controls. They spyder controls may not communicate properly and you may need a module of some sort.
