Minor issue I’m struggling to clean the gutter of the vanleigh and have build up in the gutter of dirt, I’m getting to the point to use spray it and forget it rv cleaner does anyone have any suggestions on how to remove the dirt ?
Second question - anyone got any ideas which cover for a fifth wheel can be install with ease I’ve had a couple and failed installing from the floor ground level any suggestion appreciated
Hey Tourusa - For cleaning the gutters I’d just use some sort of household cleaner or car wash soap as part of a regular roof maintenance routine. When I was doing the eternabond roof seal last fall, I used Simple Green to clean the roof membrane along with the gutters.
For RV covers, I thought about getting one many times, but they’re all fairly pricey and not very easy to install IMO. They also don’t seem to last more than a few seasons. I’ve seen where those covers can sometimes get shredded up in windy locations and beat up the RV. I decided to forego a soft cover on our unit. I have thought about building a permanent car port type structure that I could park the RV under, but that’s pretty expensive too.
I tackled the gutters today with dawn and some mild Clorox cap full. I’ve tried the covers before and are a pain and only last a season, unfortunately the nose cone is getting dissolved with the Florida sun (see my other post) will have to take a stab at either a nose cone cover or full cover.
For that front cap fading problem maybe the Bugg Banner might a solution. I think the original company went out of business but found this seller had some and for under a $100. Another alternative might be some UV PPF (Paint Protection Film) similar to what they put on car front ends to protect from rock chips and sun damage.
Thanks the first supplier looks like spam second one may work will keep you posted on the cover and have contacted vanleigh over a warranty for the nose cone thanks
