We recently purchased this used 325rl and are taking care of the “deferred maintenance” items on it. I am asking here if anyone has replaced the patio awning fabric, and if so did you use the Carefree or another universal replacement? The measurement of the arms does not fall conveniently into the measurements offered by the suppliers. On ours it is 13’ 7”. Thanks in advance for any advice.
I’m getting ready to replace fabric on both of our awnings. I’m leaning towards carefree only because the replacement fabric would need to include the wiring for the LEDs in the awning roller. Couldn’t find any other vendors that offer that.
I measured both of ours already and the main one has a roller tube width of 17’ 10” (214”) and the second one has a roller tube width of 9’ 9.5” (117.5”) both awning have the same extension from the side of the RV at 90”.
If you don’t have or need the LEDs, then I’d look at Tough Top awnings for the replacement. I purchased slide topper replacements from them and they are a lot heavier duty than the factory ones that were shredded by a hailstorm. They custom cut to the size you need too.
Will look at Tough Top. Working with a bit of a handicap as the original patio awning was replaced with a piece cut down from a larger awning. Looks kind of rough. Have thought that ShadePro could be an option as they make a granite color that is similar to the original,
I used a generic brand off amazon on my TT. It fit fine and was better quality than original. A lot cheaper also.
We replaced ours recently and went the same way as Shawn mentioned, just made sure it had a sewn seam and we just removed the wire from the old one made a couple of small holes in the new one and ran the wire back down the seam, works good.
