I recently purchases a 2018 vilano 369fb. I need a recommendation for a good portable generator for camping. I looked a cummins but they are quite expensive and am hoping for another option. Thank you very much. My name is Tom.

IMO it’s hard to beat a Honda portable, either the 2000 or 3000 series. I carried two EU200is Honda generators and an extended run 6 gallon tank in our previous 5th wheel and they did a good job. Running therm in parallel gave me nearly 30 amp service enough to run the single AC. I think they each weighed about 50 lbs so not too difficult to load or move around either
I sold the whole setup when we got our Beacon as it has the onboard Cummins/Onan 5500 generator. The Hondas aren’t the cheapest option but they never gave me any trouble over about 5 years of use.
You could even opt for the 7000is model for even more power, but those are pretty heavy and would be best suited for leaving in the truck bed I think, rather than taking it out each time.

Same concept as Stuart above but with the Yamaha version. Actually just dropped down to 1 which I still have for battery charging, running the fridge etc. not trying to run a/c
